Lindsey Burcar is a self-taught freelance illustrator working from her home in Milwaukee, WI. Inspired by all things fantasy and nature, beast and creature. Her travels and exploration of the natural world are a pivotal part of her life and art.
Born to a family that relishes in and years for adventure, her work is fueled by their infectious enthusiasm and love. She aspires to capture the wonder she sees in the world in her fantasy illustration, and capture the essence of the stories those places create, as well as making art for the games and literature she has greatly enjoyed for years.
Her art education began in high school attending the public charter Arts Academy in the Woods, which believe it or not, was not actually in the woods. Here she set the groundwork for her craft, and went on to learn from many books, tutorials, and online courses in the following years. Opting out of the college route, Lindsey has found great value in the power of “self teaching”, but hopes to take more guided courses in the future. When not doing art, you can find her playing video games, tabletop games, singing, whistling, and spending time with her partner, friends, and family, without whose infectious enthusiasm and love, she wouldn’t have made it this far.
